51 years ago today, on Sunday, September 22, 1968, ABC premiered Land of the Giants. Created by the master of disaster films, Irwin Allen, the show ran for two seasons. I remember that in the mid to late 70's, the Universal Studios tour sill had several of the giant props from the series on display. It was apparently a less litigious time; kids were allowed to climb all over them.

The FBI ran from 1965 through 1974, starring Efrem Zimbalist Jr. It was created by Quinn Martin, who produced many successful TV shows from 1959 through 1979 including The Fugitive.

The last segment hearkens back to the days when broadcast networks showing movies was a big deal (i.e. before VCRs in the home and movie cable channels.) I'm not a big old movie buff, but I don't recognize a single film from the montage shown here.
