Sunday’s Fort Pierce shootout, which left four teens wounded, resulted from a planned firearms deal, not a marketplace sale, St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro confirmed.

While previous reports suggested the shooting stemmed from a Facebook Marketplace meetup, the Sheriff’s Office has since received new information disproving that scenario.

Authorities say six individuals were involved in the incident. Three of them arrived in a black Mercedes, believed to be buyers, while three others were already present at the location, thought to be sellers.

One participant has not yet been identified and is still unidentified and out of law enforcement custody, per deputies
