How to choose your Breadth subject? - IIT Kharagpur

Disclaimer: In this video I make a statement: "Even if I am interested in something, I'll avoid taking it up in KGP." I completely stand by this statement and let me explain to you why I believe so. First because doing online courses allows me to do it at my own pace and lets me do my own exploration so I feel more satisfied after completing a subject. Secondly, the course curriculum is outdated. Tutorials for relevant coding skills or using industry standard software is still not a part of more than 90% of the subjects taught at IIT Kharagpur. On a conclusive note, I would suggest doing Minors and Micros but then a lot of personal effort out of the classes need to be put in to have a meaningful experience, which honestly I have never seen happen very often from the students' side. :)

Every year, newly made sophomores are asked to choose a Breadth subject. However there is no resource which can guide them in doing so. This video is a step by step guide to choosing your breadth subject. Other year students are more than welcome to refer to this video anytime!
