The Retail Sector can be broadly classified into 4 sub-sectors namely Modern/Traditional Retail, E-commerce/ Online Retailing, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)/Distribution Sales and Direct Selling/Entrepreneurship. RASCI has developed 21 Qualification Packs (QPs) for various retail Job roles approved by National Skill Qualifications Committee (NSQC) & Qualification Registration Committee (QRC), endorsed by the Industry. The QPs are graded as per the NSQF Framework catering to school/college pass-outs and existing professionals aspiring to make a career in any of the retail sub-sectors.

RASCI has benchmarked the Standards for Curriculums, Assessments and Certifications of Trainers/Assessors/Learners, Vocational Training & Vocational Education for the retail job roles aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). The Retail Qualification Packs (QPs) - National Occupational Standards (NOSs) developed by RASCI, constitutes a set of Occupational Standards, Educational, Training, and other key criteria that are benchmarked to match the standard of performance delivered by an individual for retail sales job-roles. The QP-NOS predefines the skills & competencies required to perform role-specific designated responsibilities, hence, making them pertinent to industry’s that produce, manufacture, assemble, design, and ultimately retail goods & services to customers across B2B & B2C channels.
