Learn about the earliest Hispanic pioneers in the region who settled in the Southwest; the Anglo-American cowboys who moved into the area after the Civil War; and the men and women who worked to build a community in a remote part of the new United States. A walk through Lincoln takes you back in time to a period when the Territory of New Mexico was as wild as any town in the West; when the line between outlaw and lawman was blurred; and when more disputes were settled with bullets than with ballots.
