Saras Baug Pune: A Tour of Talyatla Ganapati Temple | Must-Visit Temple

Saras baug is a historic and popular garden in the city of Pune, India. It is spread over 25 acres of land near Parvati Hill. The garden is home to a Peshwa-era Ganesha temple, which is known as "Talyatla Ganapati".

Saras Baug was built during the reign of Balaji Baji Rao Peshwa from 1750 to 1753. It was initially a lake, where Sarus cranes were released. Later, Sawai Madhavrao Peshwa built a temple on an island in the middle of the lake in 1784. The Ganesha idol in the temple is Siddhivinayak, with its trunk turned to the right.

How to get there -
Saras Baug is located in the heart of Pune city. You can take a bus or taxi from Swargate Bus Stand to reach Saras Baug.

Saras Baug is open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. There is no entry fee for the garden.
