Dunster Walk: Explore a Medieval English Village in Exmoor

DUNSTER in Somerset is best known as the largest & most intact medieval village in England. With narrow streets, thatched-roof cottages and historic architecture, it's like stepping back in time. The Village is within the Exmoor National Park.

Our first stop is the Dunster Yarn Market, an iconic landmark that dates back to the 17th century. This octagonal structure once served as a market for wool traders and showcases the village's prosperous past. Today, it stands as a reminder of Dunster's vibrant history and is a popular gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.

Dunster Castle has stood sentinel over the village for over 1,000 years with its panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. One of the highlights of Dunster Castle is the beautiful subtropical gardens that sprawl across its grounds.
