Redirecting the Mental Health Conversation | Hiya Verma | TEDxMoreauCatholicHS

Mental health is an important topic, but some efforts to normalize it may have gone too far while in other aspects we have not done enough. Hiya explains the downfalls of parts of the mental health conversation and how to support anyone struggling with mental illness.
Hiya Verma is a senior at Moreau Catholic High School. She is committed to bringing awareness to mental health. She is vice president of South Asian Student Association focused on educating others about South Asian mental health struggles. Hiya is a part of Link Crew's executive council where she tends to the mental health of freshmen. Hiya plans to continue to be an advocate in college.
