This is Ch.1 of MunTheory's (and Celeste's first ever) co-op campaign! I am in love with this and had a ton of fun doing this with Lenny.


This chapter was actually not intended to be possible with both players carrying a golden because of flag 2, but with some clever utilization of the bonk mechanics we can defy all known laws and very very carefully help each other through the maze. This is of course also the only really hard part, but it's hard enough to plan and execute on its own that it makes this actually not easy to do.
The map is also intended to be done with pausing, it may not be possible to beat it without pausing.


It's an awesome bonding experience getting to work with, trust, and rely on each other to get through without errors, as well as sharing the pain; makes the whole experience much more bearable. I'm beginning to have a large appreciation of co-op challenges.

Anyway this makes me excited to see future celeste co-op maps, there is a lot of room to get crazy, and the idea of tough co-op platforming challenges really gets me going.
