Mini Species Fishing at Hamble le Rice

Join us on a fishing adventure at the Harbour Master Pontoon in Hamble Quay, as we target mini species along the stunning Hampshire and Dorset coast. In this video, we share our fishing experience with a variety of species, using top-notch equipment and proven rigs to catch small but exciting fish. With the cold wind and ebb tide throwing a challenge, we still managed to reel in over 20 fish, including plenty of Black Gobies and a few micro Bass!
In this video, you'll see how we use the HTO Rockfish Rod (0.5g to 5g) for delicate bait presentation, paired with Shorecast 20g weights for accurate casting. We rig up with Cox and Rawle size 14 hooks, perfect for small fish, and 10lb Asso mono line for smooth casting. Our bait of choice was Ragworm, and we used a three-hook flapper rig and running ledger rig with Cox and Rawle Scratching Match hooks to maximize our catch.
