A few weeks ago I was visited by the BBC film crew on the farm to talk about diversification within farming.

Moving to a new farm in November in the North Yorkshire Moors it’s been a difficult initial start. Like many farmers the weather has impacted me with the improvements needed.

Having a farm in the National Park presents many issues when looking to grow and diversify the farm. Whilst I’m working with planning consultants the hoops I need to jump through are challenging.

It was great to be asked to highlight how farming and the need to diversify farming is so needed to keep farming going financially.

My Highland girls and Skye my sheepdog were also featured.
