Dockyard Station is on the line between Plymouth and Gunnislake/Penzance.

The station is managed by Great Western Railway with only Great Western Railway services calling here, with services typically operated every two hours in each direction mainly towards Gunnislake or Plymouth, however during peak times more services call here heading either towards Penzance, Plymouth, Exeter and beyond towards Bristol

At the time of filming; One Long Distance GWR service towards London Paddington operated from here, this being operated with at the time of filming Class 800-802 Diesel Electric Multiple Units.

Gunnislake local stopping services at the time of filming were operated using Class 150 Diesel Multiple Units.

Majority of the peak time services heading towards Penzance, Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol were at the time of filming were operated using Class 43 High Speed Train (Castle Class) these Castle Class sets were made up of 4 Mark 3 Coaches and two Class 43 Powercars; These sets being created after the withdrawal of the standard High Speed Train from the Great Western Railway network in 2019.

The Castle Class sets from December 2023 these Castle Class sets are set to be withdrawn due to safety concerns, Class 800-802 Diesel Electric Multiple Units are set to take over the Cardiff-Penzance services from this point.

Class 158 Diesel Multiple Units are sometimes also used on peak time services; however these units are usually limited to stopping services towards Plymouth or Penzance only
