Finding Hope: Combatting Grief & Loss Through Apologetics

Описание к видео Finding Hope: Combatting Grief & Loss Through Apologetics

In this episode of Voices of WIA, we're talking to Teasi Cannon about finding hope during seasons of grief and loss through Christian Apologetics -- especially how the Resurrection of Jesus empowers us with resilience in dark times.

Welcome to Women In Apologetics, where we educate, encourage and equip Christian Women in Apologetics and the Christian Worldview! Here on our channel, we believe that defending the faith is a matter of Christian responsibility in our post-Christian world. And we want to help you!

We have a monthly Christian Apologetics series called Voices Of WIA in which we interview a female apologist from various fields of study to help you learn to defend your faith from someone who is actively working in Student Ministry or Women's Ministry, or who is earning a Master's Degree in Christian Apologetics, or serving in another area of ministry.

This month, we'll be featuring Teasi Cannon, author and speaker, on the topic of grief, loss, and resurrection hope. Loss comes to us all. Sometimes it is the loss of a job or community. Sometimes it's the loss of health or a loved one. And when it comes ... it is often devastating. In those times we are vulnerable to the temptation to doubt God's existence, goodness, or love. It is when our hearts are most broken that remembering the evidence for the resurrection (and more) can be a lifeline. We must cling to that beautiful evidence when we think all else has failed. It will protect us when we are tempted to doubt our faith the most.

Got Questions??? Good!

We want to help you answer the tough questions about Christianity, God, Jesus, and the Bible, so we have a Christian Apologetics BOOK GIVEAWAY on each Voices of WIA episode!

What does the Bible Say About Apologetics? Come do a little Bible Study with me...

1 Peter 3:15 - “But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence."

Jude 3 - “Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.”

Acts 19:8 - “Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 10:5 - “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Colossians 4:5–6 - “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”

Philippians 1:16 - “…I am put here for the defense of the gospel.”

Luke 24:27 - "Then beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted for them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures."

As a Christian mom and wife, we know that you are especially interested in raising & equipping godly children to hang onto their faith and a Christian Worldview, rather than a secular worldview. If you're tired of the stories of millennials and Gen Z leaving the faith, you are not alone.

We want to be your go-to resource for Christian Apologetics for Women!
