FIRST BOW THRUSTER TESTS of BRAND NEW DISNEY TREASURE at MEYER WERFT SHIPYARD | 4K SHIPSPOTTING

This shipspotting video was filmed on 4th August, 2024, capturing the brand new DISNEY TREASURE cruise ship by Disney Cruise Line as it completed its first tests in the harbor basin of Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. This event followed its spectacular float out the previous day. During the tests, the bow thrusters were tested under high power with the help of two tugs, which kept the ship in position despite the high engine speeds and pitch settings. Additionally, the azipod system at the stern and the lifeboat davits were tested.

The DISNEY TREASURE is the second ship in Meyer Werft's Wish class, following its sister ship, the DISNEY WISH, and is set to be delivered to Disney Cruise Line in 2024. This magnificent vessel boasts a gross tonnage of 144,000 GT, accommodating 1,555 crew members and 4,000 passengers across 1,250 cabins.
