Palehound On L-Train | ALIVE IN THE BASEMENT | WNYU

WNYU was extremely lucky to recently host a solo acoustic live set with singer, songwriter, and guitarist Elle Kempner (Palehound) on L Train.

The set features several songs from Eye On The Bat their new album released last friday. Elle delivers a masterclass on the, endearing, unexpected, and just-so ironic lyricism they have perfected with their latest release. All while casually shredding rockstar ear worm guitar melodies almost painfully full of heart.

Elle mentioned in our interview the apt astrological timing of the records release, “it’s a cancer, which it definitely is because its a very emotional record.” They go on to detail Eye On The Bat saying, “it’s a breakup album…the disruption of fantasy, when a relationship falls apart.”
