peoples.
The Prince of Wales Harvest series partnership between Tlingit & Haida and Cedar Group began
in 2021 as an effort for the tribe to catalog traditional Southeast Alaska Indigenous harvesting
practices. The T&H Cultural Heritage & Education Department and Cedar Group worked with
tribal members to prioritize and document ten harvesting methods between 2021 and early
2023. A collaboration in 2023 between the tribe's Cultural Heritage & Education Department
and Food Security program placed an urgent and continued emphasis on the need to collect
harvesting knowledge through the Harvest series platform.
