Appealing for Witnesses After Markham Home Invasion

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold Up Unit are appealing for witnesses and seeking suspects following an armed home invasion in the City of Markham.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at approximately 12:15 a.m., police were called to a residence in the area of Victoria Square Boulevard and Woodbine Avenue for a home invasion. The victim called police after as many as four suspects forced their way into the home and demanded money while pointing firearms at them. The suspects then fled in a dark-red compact sport utility vehicle with silver roof racks.

There were three adults and a child in the home at the time. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Investigators believe this is a targeted incident and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Officers would also like to speak with anyone who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the incident.
