'Everybody's Under Your Spell' is the opening track from The Duke Spirit's EP 'Kusama' of which was first released in the US on 21st Dec 2010 through 'Shangri-La Music' and then in the UK in early 2011 as a self-release.

The song also appears on the band's third album 'Bruiser' of which was released in the US in the UK on 15th Sept 2011 through through 'Fiction Records' and in the US on 7th Feb 2012 through 'Shangri-La Music'.

'Bruiser' was produced by 'Andrew Scheps' and UNKLE's 'Rich File' and was preceded by the EP 'Kusama', which was named in tribute to the Japanese artist 'Yayoi Kusama' whose work had become an inspiration to the band during the writing of the 3rd album. 'Yayoi Kusama' was also the main inspiration and lyrical focus for the song 'Sweet Bitter Sweet' on the 'Bruiser' album.

'The Duke Spirit' are now based in London. Their sound has been seen as a melding of influences ranging from alternative rock bands such as 'The Jesus and Mary Chain' and 'Spiritualized', the tremulous rock'n'roll of bands such as 'The Gun Club' and 'The Patti Smith Group', to distinctive rhythmic 'Atlantic soul' and Motown influences.

The Duke Spirit have received acclaim and increasing success despite relatively little advertising based promotion on television and radio. Initially a 'word of mouth' band, their touring schedules have helped them to spread their music across the country and eventually into America and the rest of Europe.

They have played a number of high-profile support slots for 'Queens of The Stone Age', 'Yeah Yeah Yeahs', 'British Sea Power', 'R.E.M', 'Black Rebel Motorcycle Club', 'Supergrass' and 'Jane's Addiction'.

'The Duke Spirit' are an amazing band live and we've been lucky enough to have seen them many times and we also saw 'Liela Moss' sing 'Just Like Honey' with 'The Jesus and Mary Chain' at 'Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown Festival' when the JAMC reformed but phew how many times did 'Jim Reid' stop that song, at least five times?!? We finally met Liela, after an incredible performance at the Thekla in Bristol on 11th June 2011.
