In the summer of 1994, Bruno Green, cameraman Luc Villain, and poet-writer Craig Snyder set out on a three-week journey across the eastern half of the United States, interviewing strangers they met along the way. Thirty years later, what traces remain of the original dream as the American society—and the world—grapple with a supposed new era of greatness, how does this ancient vision of hope, opportunity, and freedom compare to the realities of today?
