It’s time to face the final quarry hunts. "The Wayward Phantasm" quarry to hunt the Dark Messiah becomes available early in the game, but you’ll need a Crystal Staff from the Gulza Sanctuary to summon it. The Thinking Circle for this hunt is in the pit area just south of the Ancient Ruins peddler. By the time you can get the Crystal Staff, the battle shouldn’t be much tougher than a regular fight.
Next up is "The Rogue Pirates" quarry to hunt the Lil' Devils, available after the events at Ti'atha Forest. Head south from the Rosa: Depot through the Spaceport and find the Thinking Circle on the west side of the plaza. You’ll need a Lucky Clover to summon them. Despite the name, the Lil' Devils aren’t small at all—there are three of them, and they hit hard. They’re weak against Holy attacks, so using Illusion Sword will do extra damage. Use attack-boosting abilities from your allies and try to position Jaster to hit multiple enemies at once. Keep an eye on your health and heal when needed until you thin their numbers.
"The Fallen Monarch" quarry becomes available after the Queen’s Palace events. Head east and north from the Ti'atha Forest: Midpoint Transporter to find the Thinking Circle by the northern lake bank. You’ll need an Alexander sword to summon the Winged Garuda. You can craft the Alexander in the Factory or buy it later from the East Side Weapon Shop in Zerard. Start by equipping the Barrier Break Shot to remove the Garuda’s barrier. Even though it has a lot of HP, use the same strategy you did against similar enemies like the Ancient Baron and Ancient Duke.
Finally, "The Envoy From On High" quarry unlocks when you gain access to Gulza Sanctuary. You’ll need a Sealing Sunsphere and be at least Hunter Rank 5 to summon it. This dragon has tons of HP, high defense, and powerful attacks that can daze or set you on fire. Its lunging strike is especially dangerous if you’re not guarding.
The Sacred Thunder Dragon is weak to Electric attacks, so using Flash Sword Lv3 will deal more damage per hit than Illusion Sword. You get fewer hits per combo, though, so make sure to stay close. Boost your power with ally abilities and keep plenty of healing and revival items ready. Stay sharp, and you’ll make it through!
