With an elevation of 247 meters above sea level, this aerodrome has an asphalt runway oriented in direction 18/36, with a length of 800 meters and a width of 18 meters.
During the forest fire season, the aerodrome plays a crucial role, being used to supply water to firefighting aircraft, thus contributing to combat emergencies in the region. In addition, it is common for helicopters to receive fuel.
On the other hand, in the region, Traiguén Aerodrome is considered one of the most important, both for general aviation, due to its infrastructure and its strategic relevance.

21 minutos de despegues y aterrizajes en El Aeródromo de Traiguén (OACI: SCTR) instalación pública la cual está ubicada a aproximadamente 3 km al sureste de la ciudad de Traiguén, en la Provincia de Malleco, Región de la Araucanía, Chile. Con una elevación de 247 metros sobre el nivel del mar, este aeródromo cuenta con una pista de asfalto orientada en dirección 18/36, con una longitud de 800 metros y un ancho de 18 metros.
Durante la temporada de incendios forestales, el aeródromo juega un rol crucial, siendo utilizado para el abastecimiento de agua a los aviones contra incendios, contribuyendo así a combatir las emergencias de la región. Además, es común que reciban helicópteros para repostaje de combustible.
Por otro lado, en la región, el Aeródromo de Traiguén es considerado uno de los más importantes para la aviación general debido a su infraestructura y su relevancia estratégica.
