Sartorial – Tailoring the Chatree dance

Kru Kanya Thipayosot, the latest traditional dance professor originates from the Chatree inventor's direct root. The Chatree drama is adapted from the Nora dance (Renounce by UNESCO) when her family moved from the south to Bangkok. It later became popular and was presented at various ceremonies both domestically and abroad. However, since the form of entertainment in Thai society has changed over time, the space to express Thai drama and culture has been reduced to the point where it disappears.

“Sartorial” means fitting a suit to the wearer. The same goes for the apprentice to put their movement to fit perfectly to their teacher. It is necessary that dance teachers teach their students to have the right posture in every process. As well as wearing clothes that are not too large, not small, not too short, not too long
