Navigating a new tool can feel a bit overwhelming, especially when your expertise lies in fabricating beautiful countertops. But don't worry – Google Calendar is intuitive, and with a little guidance, you'll feel right at home.
Access the Calendar: First, type calendar.google.com into your web browser. If you're not automatically logged in, use your new Google account details.
View Selection: At the top right, you'll notice buttons labeled "Day," "Week," "Month," and "Year." These allow you to adjust how you view your calendar. For starters, click on "Week" to see your entire week's schedule at a glance.
Creating an Event: Spot the '+' sign at the bottom right. This is your main tool for adding new events. We'll get deeper into this in later steps, but for now, just recognize its location.
Side Panel: On the left, there's a side panel where you can toggle between your different calendars (like personal and work) once you have them set up.
Today Button: Had a long scroll and lost your way? Hit the "Today" button on the top left to snap right back to the current date.
Settings Gear: Above the month's name on the top right, there's a gear icon. This is where you'll access settings and tweak Google Calendar to your preference.
As you play around, remember: the goal isn't to master everything immediately, but to get a feel for the layout. Like any new tool in the shop, a bit of practice will make perfect.
