Topic: US Corporates: Renewable Energy Strategies and Digital Innovation

Amy Jaffe serves as Director of the Energy, Climate Justice and Sustainability Lab at New York University's School of Professional Studies. She is co-chair of the Women in Energy Initiative at Columbia University and a non-resident faculty affiliate at the Climate Policy Lab.

In our Course Pop-up: US Corporates: Renewable Energy Strategies and Digital Innovation, Amy Myers Jaffe will elaborate on how an increasing number of major US corporations including big tech like Microsoft and Google have committed to aligning with a 1.5 degrees celsius emissions pathway and to move to 100% renewable energy for their operations. Is it greenwashing or do companies have concrete plans to shift to renewable energy as their primary energy source? Learn about the new ways firms are looking to make their products and services more sustainable by tapping AI, digital automation, and specialized purchasing agreements to go green for their rising electricity usage.
