Smoke from the exhaust is an indication of the engine asking for a complete overhauling. Smoke can only come if the piston rings are worn out and oil is now able to make it's way up to combustion area where it's getting burnt up, thus the smoke. However, this can be prevented very easily by taking a few measures like getting the motorcycle serviced on time and using the right engine oil. Hope this helps you.
