Hobi is part of BTS's Rap Line, and rappers are known for their cool and mysterious personas. Hobi perfectly plays this role on stage. Off stage, however, is a different story. This demonstrates that Hobi can seamlessly shift between different personas.

Hobi's duality is a well-known phenomenon in the fandom. But nobody expected that he could shift from one MBTI to another. I mean, the man changed his MBTI not once, not twice, but FOUR freakin' times! In 2017, BTS took the MBTI test, and Hobi's result was ESFJ. an optimistic and social personality type. These types love to uplift others with positive energy and offer guidance. Given his fun-loving and positive aura, this result was not surprising at all.

In 2022, BTS took the MBTI test again, and Hobi's result was the plot twist of the century! Hobi was an INFJ, the world’s rarest personality type. They are decisive, introverted people with strongly held values. INFJs are usually organized and have an uncanny ability to read others. The description seemingly described Hobi to a tee, but introvert?? Hobi?? Hello??

When Hobi appeared on Jung Jaehyung’s "Fairy Jaehyung," he made a shocking revelation. Despite his job and status, Hobi shared that he doesn't meet a lot of people.
