In this video, we showcase some of the rarest, most spectacular, and highly endemic birds found across Peru’s cloud forests, Amazon rainforest, and high Andes and Pacific Coast.

Band-tailed Manakin (Found in leks into the Amazon rainforest)
Cock of the Rock (National bird of Peru)
Yellow-scarfed Tanager (Peruvian Endemic)
Blue-moustached Barbet (Split from Versicolored B.)
Vilcabamba Spinetail (Recent split, endemic and highly restricted)
Ochre-fronted Antpitta (Endemic and highly restricted).
Royal Cinclodes (Endemic and critically endandered).
Long-whiskered Owlet (Endemic and highly restricted)
Buff-fronted Owl (Erratic and very unpredictable in Peru).
Yungas pygmy-Owl (partially diurnay predator of the rainforest)
Johnson´s Tody Tyrant (Peruvian endemic found in highland bamboo)
Black-faced Brushfinch (Retricted to southeast peru and adjacent bolivia)
Vilcabamba Tapaculo (Endemic and highly restricted).
Giant Cowbird and Capibara
Sword-billed Hummingbird visiting a giant Salvia
Tyrian Metaltail visiting Fuchsia boliviana.
Long-tailed Sylph
Cinnamon Teal in highland lake
Guanay Cormorants in the pacific coast.
Shining Sunbeam in the Elfin Forest
White-winged Guan (once considered extinct, now back in the pafici coast)
Blue-and-yellow Macaw (claylicks in south east Peru)
Salvin´s Albatross (Found in Pelagic)
