Tools From Solway To Help Farmers Protect Their New Born Lambs.

All Sheep farmers are pleased with themselves after a successful birth of a baby lamb, only to return later to the disaster of hypothermia or the lamb having been lain on by it's mother.

As soon as a ewe has given birth the lamb can be put in the protection area, in the Solway pens where they get the benefit of the heat lamp. This easy attach adaption allows the ewe access to reach over and lick her lambs.

When the lamb is ready for a suck they can be lifted in and out of the safe area beside the ewe for a feed.

After around a day the lamb protection panel can be removed allowing lambs to move around the pen freely but still have access to the safe area.

Trials have shown that lambs are attracted back to their safe area reducing the chance of them being laid on or getting hypothermia, giving farmers piece of mind when handling expensive or pedigree stock.
