Classic TV Theme: Diagnosis Murder (Full Stereo)

Описание к видео Classic TV Theme: Diagnosis Murder (Full Stereo)

This long-running light-hearted mystery series was Dick Van Dyke's most successful show after the original classic sitcom with Mary Tyler Moore. There were cast changes along the way, and the locale changed from Denver to California in the first season without explanation. But viewers took it all in stride. A 'Jake and the Fatman' episode served as its pilot; several tv movies followed then the series took off. ('Diagnosis: Murder' would return that favor and play host to several back door pilots; some were pretty good but none of them proceeded any further.) The Dick DeBenedictis theme lasted the entire series run, and we have several presentations and title sequences for your viewing pleasure:
• Original opening: I know this exists since I recorded it off air myself, but it's not often seen nowadays. (It may have been replaced on some episodes with the second opening.). It's low-key, showing a sequence of newspaper articles, photos, and books.
• Second opening: This picks up the pace a bit with clips from the show and a livelier arrangement. With closing credits.
• Third season: The titles now use the sideways scrolling motif with superimposed shots of the cast. Scott Baio is gone, replaced by Charlie Schlatter
• Season six: A more colorful treatment of the side-scrolling titles, and the liveliest theme arrangement.
• Season seven: For the last two years another variations on the scrolling titles; with closing credits.
