What a fun review this turned out to be. This thing is actually REALLY good in the areas you'd expect it to suck but then finds one way to ruin it all in the end.

Seriously the controllers feel good, the games look, sound and run absolutely flawlessly and the whole thing looks awesome with its clear and green aesthetic. While the manual mentions some kind of in game menu system with save states (not to mention non-existant screen backlight control, a settings menu and the ability to play GBA games) this is in fact clearly just running on an NoaC and not some kind of software emulation on Linux/ARM and given the low price that seems to work well in its favor. The console only offers AV composite mono output and lacks HDMI and while this could be a bummer for some it may be a bonus for those looking to run this on a CRT. Yeah, I guess it's just a 2010 era analog Famiclone at the end of the day but like I said game performance is great! The games run very smoothly, no glitches, music sounds good and plays at a perfectly consistent speed without any glitches like you might expect on a cheap emulator. The fact it's an NoaC here is a good thing! No it can't do save states and I highly doubt it can play GBA games but what we get in return is near perfect NES performance.

If only it had a good curated selection of NES ROMs instead of a jumbled up hodge-podge of bad bootlegs and mis-named games. I guess it's to be expected as this was a console sold in a retail store at the end of the day but I don't think selling ILLEGAL games on clone consoles has ever stopped Giant Tiger (or Amazon, or Wal-mart etc) before! If someone could modify the flash chip with a better ROM selection it could actually be a legit way to play NES games on a CRT TV! You know, besides using a real NES that is...
