Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, OTCQB:HLOGF) outgoing non-executive chairman Ian Stalker speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London shortly after announcing that he is stepping down from his role with the AIM-listed exploration company nearly five years spent working in different positions.

He says he has "several mixed emotions" about his departure, but believes it's the right time to move on as the company is well-positioned for the future. He compares his time with Helium One to a successful cricket innings, having guided the company through its listing back in 2020.

Stalker highlights what he calls the professionalism and dedication of the current team, and expresses confidence in their ability to discover helium in economic quantities through drilling at the Rukwa property. He also mentioned the company's recent purchase of a drill rig, which will enhance the company's control over operations and open up new opportunities.

Stalker plans to remain a substantial shareholder in Helium One and will continue to "cheer on" the company from the sidelines, while also exploring other opportunities in different businesses that may require his attention.

He expresses gratitude to the shareholders for their patience and finishes by saying he believes the company is in good hands under its current leadership.
