The story of an old movie theatre at Bareilly is actually the story of an era when major source of entertainment of masses were films, only films. Not just the entertainment, films had deeper influence in the life & pshyche of the audiences. And theatre management use to have a board announcing - House Full. Gone are the days.
बरेली का कुमार टॉकीज़ गुज़रे हुए उस दौर की निशानी है, जब 'हाऊस फुल' का बोर्ड सिनेमा के शौक़ीनों की बेचैनी का सबब होता था और एक ही दिन में दो या तीन शो देखने वाले दीवाने हर शहर में मिल जाया करते थे. शायर वसीम बरेलवी कहते हैं कि उन दिनों के नौजवानों के पास कोई और मसरूफ़ियात नहीं थीं, शायद इसी वजह से उनके दिमाग़ पर फ़िल्मों का गहरा असर होता औऱ देर तक रहता भी.
