9 VILLAGES PROTEST: MAGISTRATE & NHIDCL ARRIVES FOR SPOT VERIFICATION

Citizens from Nine Village's under Karbi Anglong voice out against the NHIDCL for not constructing a by-pass for public passage, which is the need of the hour. As per the information shared by the villagers, they had already submitted a memorandum to NHIDCL on July 7, 2023 at NHIDCL Head Office Dimapur regarding the demand of a passage, but now they are changing their words, said the villagers. Today, a meeting between Bokajan's District Administration, NHIDCL, and villagers was held to address concerns from nine affected villages along the NH-29 Dimapur Bypass. The main issue is the need for a public underpass for safer passage. If approved, construction will begin. Magistrate Karbi Anglong will present the grievances.
