Is it possible to double lath a stucco patch when you can’t break out the stucco correctly?
Yes, I'm also using a bonding agent which is the next best thing.
When we come to a job where the owner or builder does not want any more stucco broken off, we improvise.

Thus, in this video, we share some common tips about stucco lathing for waterproofing windows installed that have been saw cut.

As a rule, one would have to break the edges carefully around the perimeter to overlap the paper and wire.
The paper is overlapped to prevent leaking when it rains.
The stucco wire netting is overlapped to prevent cracking when the stucco is applied.
A hairline crack can surround the perimeter if they are not overlapped when the stucco has cured.
If this happens, caulking can be used to fill in the hairline crack or a quality primer, and paint can also flood the hairline crack if it does occur.
