Holiday Mountain Manitoba "We've got Snow"

December 2023 marked one of the warmest on record, presenting a challenge for Holiday Mountain in their efforts to produce sufficient snow for opening. However, on December 21, 2023, despite the obstacles, they successfully opened with five runs in excellent condition. As the early days of January bring colder weather, the resort is fully capitalizing on ideal snowmaking conditions, preparing to open the remaining runs in the near future.

In this video, I delve into a conversation with Abe Sawatsky, General Manager of Holiday Mountain, discussing the intricacies of snowmaking and providing insights into the current state of the resort.
Additionally, I join 80-year-old Ron Bamford for a tour on the snowcat (Bombardier), with the behind-the-scenes efforts required to transform man-made snow and strategically place it where needed.
