Management of an airway is one of the first steps in treating a patient. Using some simple techniques you can reposition the patient to keep that airway open. If you have the capabilities and equipment on hand, you can even use some basic airway adjuncts such as NPAs and OPAs to assist with managing the airway. These tactics can be used for trauma patients or medical patients such as overdose patients, heart attacks or any other level of a medical patient.
