Indonesia. The world's largest archipelago nation, with over 17,000 islands straddling the equator. It has a population of over 270 million, of which 150 million live on Java Island.
Jakarta is the largest city on Java Island. I took a train from there to visit the historic city of Yogyakarta, and watched the beautiful sunrise over Mount Bromo accessed from Malang, The city surrounded by active volcanoes. I then crossed the sea to Bali, the Island of Hindu culture.
This is a report on my journey through Indonesia's magnificent nature and friendly people.
