Yakovlev Yak-40 | Zhetysu | Inflight Experience | Astana to Usharal

Zhetysu is a small Kazakh airline based in Taldykorgan. The airline operates domestic services with only a single active Yak-40 aircraft.

Zhetysu is focussed on serving secondary domestic routes in Kazakhstan. Recently the airline launched a new flight from Astana to Usharal. Usharal's former airbase was converted to a civil airport with a new terminal building in 2017. The first flight passenger flight arrived in July 2017. The airport is designed to serve a nearby holiday resort area.
