In this video, I talk about the lesser known evil of YouTube: Shoutout Sundays.

In case you don't know, a shoutout Sunday series is basically a series where a host picks winners to win a shoutout to their channel. The problem is that, most of the time, the hosts use this as a way to drive traffic to their channel, and later on, as their only source of views and such. Many people participate in these because they think that subscriber counts matter, when in reality, they don't. All these series do is give channels dead subscribers and people who don't really care about the winners' videos. There are sometimes a few people who will watch the winners' videos, but these beneficial viewers are outweighed by the dead ones.
