Forewarned finally released into early access. So the question we've all been dying to know.... are we ghost hunters? Grave robbers? Archaeologists? What exactly are we doing here? It kinda seems like we might be grave robbers.... snatching up goodies for our own personal collections. Maybe.

In this review, I cover all the things I feel like Forewarned has going for it, what maybe needs some work, my general impressions of the game, and whether or not it's worth picking up. Keep in mind, as of the release of this video, the game still has not offered inverted y axis for players like myself who use it. I'll try to update in the comments when that does happen - assuming it does. If they pull a Ghost Hunters Corp and never managed to fix it, I will be returning the game. But fingers crossed they pull through with their promises.

Overall, this game was okay. I feel like it was worth the money I spent on it (assuming they fix that reverse mouse issue) and that I would likely play it again. That it's offered in VR as well as on PC is awesome and I'm certain it will be attractive to a lot of players. I personally enjoyed that players have a reason for leveling. There's actual progression in the game that makes players want to play and get better. There's also not a real penalty for dying as players can then assist their teammates while they're dead - or assist the mejai and hunt the remaining alive players. I really do like this variety to the game and the options to play in ways different than to what we're used to in other indie horror games.
