American Town:
In 1806, after the American Revolutionary War, the first European American settlers of Richmond came from North Carolina and settled along the East fork of the Whitewater River. Officially incorporated in 1840, the Richmond Historic Downtown District, developed between 1868 and 1960, represents its rich history with incredible architectural styles from the Old World, such as Queen Anne, Romanesque, Italianate, and Classical revival. I visited important landmarks near downtown Richmond, including Glen Miller Park, the Statue of Madonna of the Trail, Earlham Cemetery (founded in 1861), and the beautiful mansion of Oliver P. And Mary Alice Gaar in the downtown district on Main Street. Join me on this exploration of Richmond, Indiana. Please share your thoughts about this video in the comments section below.
