Es conocido por interpretar a Polo en la serie española de Netflix Élite.En 2011 inició su actividad como actor en una adaptación teatral de La Celestina y su debut en televisión se produjo en 2017 en un episodio de Centro médico. 3​ También en 2017 interpretó a Nicolás en algunos capítulos Velvet Colección.4​

A finales de 2017 se anunció que sería uno de los protagonistas de la segunda serie española original de Netflix titulada Élite,5​ donde comparte reparto con actores como Miguel Herrán y Ester Expósito.6​ En la serie interpreta a Polo, un joven bisexual que protagoniza un trío amoroso con Carla (Ester Expósito) y Christian (Miguel Herrán).4​
Álvaro Rico Ladera (born 13 August 1996; in La Puebla de Montalbán, Toledo, Spain),[1][2] is a Spanish actor. He is best known for playing the character of Polo in the Netflix's original series Elite.

Career
In 2011, he began his career as an actor in a theater adaptation of La Celestina and his television debut was in 2017 in an episode of Medical Center.[3] Also in 2017 he played Nicolás in Velvet Colección.[4]

At the end of 2017, it was announced that he would be one of the protagonists of the second original Spanish Netflix's series entitled Elite,[5] where he shares cast with actors like Miguel Herrán, and Ester Expósito,[6] actress with whom he has a relationship.[4] In the series he played Polo, a bisexual young man who stars in a love trio with Carla (Expósito) and Christian (Herrán).[4]
