As the fashion world becomes more and more uniform with similar presentations, there is a designer to prevent thisby telling stories of her own. Giyilebilir sanat iddiasıyla yola çıkan Bashaques markasının kurucusu. İkincilikle mezun olduğu İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi Moda Tasarım bölümündeki eğitimi süresince Arzu Kaprol, Yıldırım Mayruk, Hey Tekstil gibi markalarla çalışma imkanı buldu. Desen ve illüstrasyon yeteneğini, İngiltere’de Bora Aksu’nun
yanında yaptığı staj döneminde geliştirdikten sonra sanatsal tablolara ve giyilebilir sanata yöneldi. 2015’te sunduğu ilk koleksiyonu An ile Uluslararası Akdeniz Moda Ödülü’nün sahibi oldu ve İngiltere’de düzenlenen uluslararası YOTA Moda Tasarım yarışmasını kazandı. Galeries Lafayette ile başarılı bir işbirliğine imza atarak, tasarımlarını Paris’te sergileme fırsatı bulan Cankeş, giyilebilir sanat koleksiyonlarının yanı sıra sürrealizmi Türk minyatür sanatına uyarladığı geleneksel Türk Yorganları Projesi’ni yaptığı tablolarla birlikte Contemporary İstanbul’da sergiledi. 3 sezondur Contemporary İstanbul'a katılmaya devam etmekle beraber, teatral moda performansı alanının Türkiye'deki temsilcilerindendir.

She is the founder of Bashaques brand, which set off to create "wearable art". During her studies at the Izmir University of Economics, Department of Fashion Design, from which she graduated ranking second in her class, she found an opportunity to work with various
brands including Arzu Kaprol, Yıldırım Mayruk, Hey Tekstil, etc. She further developed her design and illustration skills with an internship at Bora Aksu's office in the United Kingdom and then turned her attention towards artistic paintings and wearable art. In 2015, her first collection the "Moment" brought her an International Mediterranean Fashion Award, and she won the international YOTA Fashion Design Competition in the United Kingdom. As part of a successful cooperation with the Galeries Lafayette, she found an opportunity to showcase her work in Paris. Cankeş also presented, alongside her wearable art collections, the Traditional Turkish Blankets Project with her paintings at the Contemporary Istanbul, in which she applied surrealism to the Turkish art of miniatures. She has participated in the Contemporary Istanbul for the past three seasons and is one of the representatives of theatrical fashion performance in Turkey.
