He was linked with and fought some of the hardest men in England.
Known as the Teesside Taxman, Cockerill operated in the criminal underworld for almost 30 years.

Brian Cockerill is originally from Hartlepool - a seaside and port town in County Durham, England.
He has become part of Teesside folklore due to his criminal past and association with former gangsters from the area.
As a younger man, Brian Cockerill ruled his world with fists of iron.
