However, achieving real impact requires moving beyond fragmented policies to a cohesive national strategy that treats nature as essential infrastructure and attracts large-scale investment in habitat restoration.

Prioritizing ecosystem functionality restoring and connecting landscapes—will enhance key services like clean air, water, and carbon sequestration, vital for climate resilience and food security. Implementing the “30by30” commitment can unlock significant nature-based solutions and economic growth.

To scale these efforts, Kent Wildlife Trust supports Rebuilding Nature, an industry-led initiative to create a UK Strategic Nature Network, enabling sustainable agriculture, green finance, and long-term prosperity.
