In Luke 15:1-7, Jesus shares the parable of the lost sheep to illustrate God's boundless love and mercy. When he finds it, he rejoices more over this single recovered sheep than over the ninety-nine that never strayed. This parable highlights the joy in heaven over one sinner who repents.
