#BC ~ #BodyCount is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1990. The group is fronted by #IceT, who first established himself as a gangsta rapper but co-founded the group with lead guitarist #ErnieC out of their mutual interest in heavy metal music. #IceT took on the role of vocalist & writing the lyrics for most of #BodyCount's songs, while #ErnieC has been responsible for writing the group's music. #BodyCount's self-titled debut album was released on Sire Records in 1992, & garnered much attention due to it's brilliance, raw talent & hardcore take.. Plus a lil' controversy around the song "Cop Killer". Their label Sire Records & their parent company, Warner Bros. Records defended the song; however #IceT chose to remove it from the album because he felt that, the controversy had eclipsed the music itself. The group left Sire the following year, & they have since released six more albums. 3 out of the band's original 6 members are now passed on... Deceased: #DRoc. #BeatmasterV & #Mooseman..{Rest Well🙏🏼} #BodyCount's current lineup includes; vocalist #IceT, guitarists #ErnieC & #JuanGarcia, bassist #VincentPrice, drummer #WillIllWillDorseyJr. & backing vocalists #SeanESean & then ya have #LittleIce, whom is #IceT's son. The band received their 2nd Grammy nomination & later won the award at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021 for #BestMetalPerformance with their song #BumRush, from the album #Carnivore. From the moment I got my hands on #BodyCount: Body Count cassette tape in early '92 & that tape rewired some of my shit up top, in just a couple listens! Since then, it's all been...
