In the beginning of the Lithuanian Eurovision career they were one of the absolute least successful countries, while their Baltic neighbours gained their victories. Right now the wind has turned and Lithuania has been in the top 14 every year since 2016, except for two non-qualifications. In the televote Lithuania receives a lot of points due to diaspora. However Lithuania is still waiting for a top 5-finish.

The last three years they have sung in Lithuanian every year and send different genres every year. Many fans think their long-waited victory could be in a near future.
