ASMR - Fixing My Oil Pressure Gauge

Relax as I repair the instrument cluster in my old pickup truck. The oil pressure gauge has stopped working and a few of the light bulbs that backlight the gauges have burned out. In this video I’ll remove the cluster of gauges from the dash, disassemble the gauge cluster on my workbench, remove the stepper motors that control the individual gauges, solder in new stepper motors, and replace the dash lights while I’m at it. The stepper motors that came in my GM built truck are of the C5 168 variety and are known to fail. I be replacing them with the much higher quality, GM approved X27 168 type that should last forever…hopefully. You can find these stepper motors on Amazon and Ebay for about three dollars each. You could also buy a package set that comes with all the stepper motors, bulbs, solder sucker, and solder, for about 30$-40$. That solder sucker really makes the job easier. Though this video could be considered a tutorial on repairing your 2003-2006 General Motors Silverado and Sierra truck cluster, it is first and foremost an ASMR relaxation video. In the video I said that the screws holding the cluster in the dash were 10mm. I mispoke because I think the size may be 7mm or 8mm.
