Matthew | Do You Even Know Him

Matthew was a tax collector, he wasn't born into that life, he chose it. And as a consequence he was shunned by his family, friends, and the Jewish community. Why would anyone think this guy had any sort of value or purpose, even for God, especially when he turned his back on God? He betrayed those around him, he was an enemy of the Jews. But he was even looked down upon by the Romans he worked for. He was a nobody, all alone. Yet God still chose him, and gave him a new purpose: to follow him. God knew the kind of person Matthew was inside, he knew his heart, and he had great plans for Matthew.
